Privacy policy
Awaiting professional review. This policy is a working draft written for structure and clarity. It must be reviewed and completed by a qualified data-protection solicitor before the site accepts real enquiries. Dental Anchor processes health-related information and transfers it outside the UK and EEA, both of which carry specific legal obligations that require professional advice.

Who we are
Dental Anchor operates dentalanchor.com. We are a dental treatment guidance and coordination platform. We are not a dental clinic and do not provide dental treatment.
The registered company name, address, and the identity and contact details of the data controller must be inserted here before launch. A data protection officer may also be required depending on the scale of health-data processing.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly:
- Contact details — your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, and country
- Preferences — how and when you would like to be contacted, and your treatment priorities and timing
- Information about your dental situation — what you tell us through the preliminary plan, including the areas of concern you select
- Consent records — what you agreed to, and when, recorded with a timestamp
We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as the pages you visit and how you arrived at the site. Analytics are not loaded until you consent to them.
Health-related information
Information about your teeth and dental situation is health information. Under UK and EU data protection law it is a special category of personal data and receives additional protection.
We apply data minimisation to it. In practice that means:
- We ask only for what is needed at the stage you have reached, not everything at once
- Uploading dental photographs and X-rays is currently disabled. We will not accept medical images through this website until secure storage, access control and retention procedures are complete and have been legally approved
- We do not put health information into web addresses, and we exclude it from analytics
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
The lawful basis for each processing purpose must be confirmed by a solicitor and stated explicitly here. Our expectation is that most processing relies on your consent, and that special category health data relies on explicit consent — but this must be verified rather than assumed.
We use your information to:
- Produce your preliminary plan and respond to your enquiry
- Organise your case and, once you have chosen a clinic, share it with that clinic so a dentist can review it
- Coordinate appointments, travel planning and communication
- Support you after treatment and escalate concerns
- Meet our legal and record-keeping obligations
Who we share it with
The partner clinic you choose. No clinic receives your name, your number or your email until you have chosen that clinic. When you have, we share your case with it so a licensed dentist can assess it. We do not send your details to clinics you have not picked, and we do not sell enquiries. From that point the clinic becomes responsible for the information it holds about you, under the law that applies to it.
Service providers. Hosting, database and communication providers who process information on our behalf under contract.
WhatsApp. If you contact us on WhatsApp, that conversation is carried by Meta and is held under their terms as well as ours. It is a good way to ask a question. It is not the right place to send X-rays, photographs or medical history — those belong in your preliminary plan, where they are covered by the retention and deletion arrangements described here. If you send clinical detail by chat anyway, we will move it into your case file and ask you to delete it from the conversation.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers.
Transfers outside the UK and EEA
Treatment takes place in Türkiye, so coordinating it would necessarily involve transferring your information there. Türkiye does not currently benefit from a UK or EU adequacy decision, which means a specific transfer safeguard is required before any transfer can lawfully happen.
No patient information has been transferred to Türkiye, because no clinic partnership is in place yet. Everything submitted through this site is currently held by Dental Anchor alone, on infrastructure inside the EU.
Before the first transfer, we will put a written data transfer agreement in place with each partner clinic and complete a transfer risk assessment, and this section will be updated to name the clinic, the country and the agreement relied upon. Your consent to be contacted is not by itself the mechanism that makes such transfers lawful on an ongoing basis.
How long we keep it
Retention periods must be set with legal advice and stated here as specific periods, not as “as long as necessary”. Enquiry data, health-related information and consent records are likely to warrant different periods. We support deletion on request and record when it happens.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. The relevant authority and our contact route for rights requests must be inserted here.
Security
We use encrypted connections, restrict access to information to those who need it, keep secrets out of the browser, and avoid recording sensitive details in logs. No system is completely secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects you and we are required to.
Cookies

Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be communicated directly where we hold your contact details.
